Alright! We made it to Tallahassee safe and sound with perfect weather and a smooth ride. It took two 13 hour days and by the end of the ride Kittles was a perfect car kitty. The first day was pretty rough for her (and me since I was her personal attendant) but she finally got used to it. Now she and the dog get along pretty well with only a few hisses a day to make the dog cower. The other cat doesn't care for Kittles but Kittles really doesn't have a big interest in him anyway which I think is good since she is the one with the claws. She is our baby so it makes me happy to have her fit into the family so well already.
Anyway, luckily we left the day before the huge winter storm but Paul was a little disappointed that we weren't there for it and that he didn't get to play hockey this winter. We do miss Minneapolis already. We realized that this is the first time we have moved away from a place that we really weren't sure if we'd ever come back and visit. We really do want to but who knows what the future will bring. We definitely never thought it would bring this!
We sold the car today to my parents which makes everything seem just a little more real. Christmas was amazing and we had a great time with family. The days just seem to be flying by... All our boxes have still not found a place but hopefully everything will be done this week. I don't feel like I can relax until all that is complete but at least we put enough away to where the floor is visible in our room! Semi-Success!
But we'll update probably once more before we leave and then it will be more interesting as I'm sure I'll have crazy stories as we try to adapt to new everything. Oh, and we got a MagicJack which will hopefully be a great connection to the states! We'll test it out as Jan 20 gets closer and then if you want the number to call us on we can send that out. Love you guys and thanks so much for your support and prayers!
